    The Montgomery has an integral 200 year history in the heart of Sheffield. As a theatre and arts centre They stage professional family shows and are proud to be the home of community theatre in the city centre. The Friends of The Montgomery support the work of the theatre; their role is to provide practical and financial support to further the aims of The Montgomery in being the centre for community and family theatre and the arts in Sheffield. Duties may include (and may not be limited to) the following: • Assistance with Get-ins, Fit-ups and Get-outs • Rigging, focusing and operating stage lighting and sound equipment • Assistance with Front of House and Duty Management • Cleaning, tidying and maintenance of theatre, workshop and equipment • Use of hand tools and power tools • Basic soldering and electronics • Basic (and less basic) plumbing work • Basic (and less basic) woodwork and carpentry • Basic welding and metalwork • General construction work
